Agnosia is the inabilitiy to process sensory information. It can manifest in three different ways, visual, auditory, or tactile.

Agnosia is caused by lesions to the brain, specifically the patietal, temporal and occipate lobes. 

Agnosia is a very rare neurological disorder that effects men and women equally. The first case of agnosia was diagnosed in 1890.
